Watermelon Margarita Recipe

This Watermelon Margarita Recipe is brought to you by my lovely and (somewhat) creative husband.

Ok, ok, so he isn’t actually typing up this post. The blog life really isn’t his thing. However, we recently discovered his bartending skills, specifically how to make a delicious and refreshing watermelon margarita. Not going to lie, I was really impressed with his creation because normally I am the one exploring in the kitchen. Anyway, it would not be cool if we kept this recipe to ourselves so here it goes!

Ingredients for two servings:

  1. 3 cups of cubed watermelon
  2. 1.5 cups of ice cubes
  3. 1/4 cup of water
  4. 3 key limes
  5. 1 tablespoon of tajin
  6. 3 ounces of tequila, split into two glasses (1.5 ounces each)

Step 1:

In a blender, add the following ingredients: watermelon, ice, water, and two key limes. Blend until smooth.

Step 2:

On a flat plate, squeeze the last key lime. Take your glass, dip the rim in the lime juice. Repeat for the second glass.

Step 3:

On a separate flat plate, sprinkle the tajin and dip both glasses to cover the rims.

Step 4:

Lastly, add 1.5 ounces of tequila into each glass and finish by adding the watermelon juice. Mix and enjoy!

I am looking forward to making this watermelon margarita recipe all summer long! In case you are new to the blog, I am linking another summer cocktail recipe here. If you like Mezcal, I promise you’ll love this recipe too. If you have never tried it though, I encourage you to give it a try. It is quite refreshing.
