Almost one week ago, Target debuted an exclusive designer dress collection in collaboration with three designers – Cushnie, LoveShackFancy, and Lisa Marie Fernandez. They’ve been working on this project for over one year and the collection was made available to the public just last week. (So sad I missed the dress I really wanted 🙁 It’s sold out and they do NOT plan to restock any of the items.) The collection is made up of 70+ dresses – all ranging from sexy to flirty to vacay vibes. They made sure to make it an all-inclusive collection by including sizes from XXS to 3X, all ranged from $40 – $60.Continue reading “Profresh Friday Picks: Target’s Designer Dress Edition”

I finally found a graphic tee of a singer I adore – Taylor Swift. Not only do I love it for the singer, it has the name of my latest favorite song too! Lover was ALL we jammed to late last year when we purchased our first home. It was oh-so-fitting for the theme.
Anyway, as soon as I spotted this tee, I knew I had to buy it!Continue reading “Calling Out All Swifties”
As much as I love to shop for new clothes, and refresh my wardrobe on a daily basis, I strongly believe in purchasing clothing pieces that will last for years to come. And no, they don’t always happen to be designer pieces. When I shop, I look for a few things that will let me know if something will last a while, or not. I’ve rounded up these tips below to let you know what I look for. They’re simple, easy to follow steps that I think you’ll appreciate as you refresh the wardrobe. Here is what I look for when it comes to selecting quality clothing pieces…Continue reading “Tips on Selecting and Caring For Quality Clothing Pieces”
Happy, happy Monday! Hope you had a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend. We spent ours in our hometown with our parents – it was quite the retreat being away from the city.
Yesterday’s outfit was comfy – I must share.
The top is actually a bodysuit – I love a good bodysuit. It also comes in black. Good staple to have this spring/summer because it’s so easy to style with anything. Not to mention, I love body tight tops with jeans, super convenient to keep tucked in neatly. Best part?
Hope you had a wonderful day! I am unwinding with some red light therapy and relaxing music. (Yes, I am wearing my red light mask as we speak and actually don’t know if that’s totally ok.) Anyway, in case you missed today’s action over on IG stories, there’s still time. I shared a bit of what was happening in the kitchen today – aka watermelon margaritas and empanadas. By the way, congratulations to everyone who participated in today’s bonus giveaway!!! (Anyone who made one of my margaritas and tagged me on their stories won!) I will be picking up your gift card first thing tomorrow so it will be on its way to you!
Cheers to the freaking weekend!!! Looks like we are blessed with beautiful sunny weather in Houston – thank goodness! These next few weeks will be interesting as places begin to open up. I couldn’t be more excited to get out and sit at a coffee shop to get some work done (following safety precautions, of course). I know everyone feels different about what’s happening right now, and it will vary from state to state, but in the end, we hold the ultimate power to making our own decisions, right?!? So to each their own. Hope everyone stays safe, healthy, and positive because who knows how long this is going to last.
Anyway, on to today’s cute and oh-so-fresh #ootd. It has been so long since I last shared my #ootd, but the truth is, who is truly buying clothes during quarantine?!? I mean….if you were, good for you! LOL! I know I wasn’t. We were hunkered down for quite some time, I honestly thought recipes and other lifestyle topics were more relevant. But now that there’s a possibility of returning to work soon, I think sharing outfits will be helpful for those who need to update their wardrobe.
Happy, happy hump day!!! Hope today has been a great day! I am unwinding by slipping into my comfy (and incredibly soft) pajamas, listening to Ella Fitzgerald, and possibly drinking a little glass of rosé. It was a day of cold calling, getting to know design-build partners, and attending a webinar.
If you live in South Texas, you can probably feel springtime in the air! I cannot be the only person looking forward to warmer and sunnier days. (Seriously though, what’s up Houston? This isn’t Seattle.) This evening I am sharing today’s #ootd – a long sleeve floral shirtdress, ideal for spring/summertime.
I wore this floral maxi dress on Valentine’s Day to our dinner date. I loved it from the second I saw it hanging on the rack. It fits so well, no alterations will be needed. It comes in blue print as well – I’ll link it here. My favorite things about this dress are the tiers, the back design, and of course, the floral print. I love the pink/mauve contrast with the red print. Style it with nude shoes or those pink heels that have been on repeat. (It’s currently 40% off.)
