Fresh Friday Finds: Crate & Barrel Wall Art Pieces

As soon as we became homeowners, we started exploring a little area in Houston known as Highland Village. It was basically where I lived before the pandemic. Seriously, I would spend so much time in that area exploring all the stores. I quickly found out which stores contained most of my style, Crate and Barrel (C&B) being one of them.

If you ever visit the store, you’ll most likely notice the wall art that makes an incredible statement as you go up the stairs to the second floor. When I first saw it, I knew I had to have it. I just needed to figure out where to place it.

On one of our trips to C&B, we eventually realized the metal frame was actually made up of multiple pieces of the same piece. They were simply stacked to make it appear it was this giant piece of metal art frame. And since we had to purchase each one individually, we waited until we purchased other furniture first. (Priorities, ya know?)

One of the things I love to do (and sorry not sorry for sounding repetitive) is, hosting people. If it weren’t for this pandemic, I would have people over ALL the time. (Ok, ok, I may be exaggerating.) Anyway, I wanted something by the entrance that would welcome people with a warm and cozy vibe. At this point, all I am missing is a white comfy robe for every guest, haha! I’ll share more about this on a different post. When I realized this wall art frame would hold candles, I knew it was perfect for the entranceway. And I was right. It goes perfectly with the staircase and lighting fixture.

If you read the reviews, you’ll learn a lot of people love this statement piece by the dining table! And I couldn’t agree more. If you don’t think it’s suitable by the entranceway, perhaps consider the dining area. I think it could create the perfect romantic (or mellow) atmosphere. Imagine a tasty steak dinner with a large glass of cabernet with dimmed lights, candles on, and jazz music playing in the background. By the way, this metal frame has been around for a very long time. This gave me confidence in purchasing it for the quality aspect of it. It was not easy to install but we eventually figured it out (more about this experience on Instagram highlights, under home tips).

The best part of this frame right now is, it is currently 15% off. C&B is holding a 4th of July sale and the entire site is up to 30% off. (A few exclusions, of course.)

I compiled a few of my favorite wall art pieces based on their classical (and modern) style. I think the ones I picked will stay relevant for years to come, much like the one we bought. Hey, you heard it from the reviewers first.
