From the moment we stepped into Hotel Royal Victoria, we knew our Varenna adventure was about to become something truly extraordinary. With its rich history, timeless elegance, and stunning lakefront location, this boutique hotel captures the essence of luxury and relaxation.
As we entered the lobby, the warm and inviting atmosphere instantly embraced us. The décor, a fusion of classic Italian elegance and modern comfort, set the tone for our stay. The attentive staff welcomed us with open arms and made us feel like royalty.

- Unbeatable Location: The hotel is centrally located in Varenna. This made our exploration super easy, we simply walked everywhere! (You do NOT need a car in Varenna, but of course, that’s a personal choice.)
- Also, Varenna’s ferry terminal and train station are within a short walking distance from the hotel, making it an ideal base for exploring the charming town and surrounding areas.
- Historical Elegance: The hotel’s history and architecture are awe-inspiring. Staying here feels like a step back in time, with all the modern comforts you could wish for.
- Very Accommodating: The hotel staff was incredibly nice and accommodating. They ensured our stay was comfortable and pleasant. I am more than happy to refer people their way.
- The hotel also offers a shuttle for their guests, making it convenient to travel from place to place. Although, walking is certainly the way to go unless you’re heading to the train station.
- The View is Impeccable: Situated right on the shores of Lake Como, the hotel offers unparalleled views. The sight of the glistening lake and the surrounding mountains is a sight to behold. It’s the perfect setting for relaxation.
- Lakefront Access: That said, staying at Hotel Royal Victoria means easy access to the lake. If you’re up for a swim, you can do so from the hotel.
