About Empress 1908 Gin:

For those who are extremely curious about why the gin is blue, please keep reading for more about Empress 1908 Gin.

Empress 1908 Gin is a hand-crafted spirit from Victoria Distillers in British Columbia, Canada, and is inspired by the renowned tea and cocktail programs of the iconic Fairmont Empress Hotel in Victoria. (By the way, I’ve added afternoon tea at the Fairmont Empress Hotel to my bucket list 😉 ) The gin is micro-distilled in small batch copper-pot stills using eight botanicals: juniper, rose, coriander seed, grapefruit peel, ginger root, cinnamon bark, butterfly pea blossoms and the Fairmont Empress Blend Tea. Having said that, the ingredient containing the power to make the gin indigo hue is, the butterfly pea blossom. With the addition of citrus, tonic water, or club soda, Empress 1908 transforms from vivid indigo hue to soft pink and purple hues. Pretty cool, huh?!?

Best of all? It is all-natural, and for those who are gluten-free, it’s gluten-free.
