A Spring Getaway

A Spring Getaway

It has been a week since I drove up to Dallas to visit the Texas-Tulips fields with my sisters and baby niece. It was a girls day filled fun and much needed homemade ice cream from my college town, Denton, TX.

The fields are covered with tulips in all of the colors you can imagine, and basing off IG photos and hashtags, it is a beautiful sight to see. Continue reading “A Spring Getaway”

First of all, I am in disbelief at how much the price for this blouse has dropped! It wasn’t long ago that I purchased it. I love the color so much – I ain’t even mad about paying regular price. I am thinking of all the ways of styling it this spring season. St. Patrick’s Day is coming up so it may be my green for that day.

The quality of the fabric is pleasant and the fit is just right. The retro spread collar is my favorite part about the blouse! I wore it to church last week and styled it with a black skirt but I can see myself wearing it with my favorite pair of jeans. Click here to peep more.

Hope you have an amazing Friday! Cheers to the weekend, xo.

If there is one thing I am guilty of is owning a lot of black clothing. My collection will most likely decrease after I tidy up the apartment next month. The question is, what is it about the color black that attracts a lot of people? My best guess is because it speaks elegance and classiness. To me, it is always a safe choice. I have a little saying and it goes like this, “When in doubt, listen to Drake, wear black, and eat Chick-fil-A”. In other words, if I ever have a hard time deciding what to listen to, what to wear, or what to eat, I’ll go with the above safe choices.

Today, on the blog, I am diving a little deep into one of my safe choices – the combination of black + white clothing.

45 Days Without Sip, Sip, Hooray!

The thought of having my “best beach body yet” by this month is something to laugh at. Seriously, I am giggling just at the thought. Why? Why did I decide to put that kind of pressure on me?!? Who do I think I am for believing I could achieve a nice pack of abs in just 30 days?!?

I am a crazy dreamer – that’s why. I know that one day I will have those insane abs I’ve always wanted, but until then, I will keep showing up to the gym because it is certainly not happening by February 28th.

The only reason I gave up alcohol was to focus on my fitness goal of having abs. Little did I know this little journey would take me through an unexpected route.

Tidying Up Marathon

Happy, happy Monday!!! Hope you had a fabulous weekend! My family visited from Dallas so mine was filled with entertainment and laughs. Our little niece is something else, and literally, has us wrapped around her little finger.

Since we are almost halfway through the month, I figured it was time to share what I learned about the book I read last month. Ok, ok, so I am not quite done with it. There is one more chapter to read but I promised myself to finish it this week since I am almost down to two weeks to read February’s book. Continue reading “Tidying Up Marathon”

Mel Robbins Changed My Life

Mel Robbins Changed My Life

Is your fire burning out now that we are one month deep into the new year? Or is it still burning and you are actually feeling refueled since it is the start of a brand new month?!? It’s all about perspective, right? I think it can go both ways, it all depends on the type of person you are. You either see the glass half empty or half full. About two years ago, as I was listening to one of my favorite podcasts (at the time), I was introduced to a tool that changed my life for the best. To date, this tool keeps me going and continues to push me even harder, especially on the days I do not feel energized to do anything.

Color Block Top + Legging Pants

Color Block Top + Legging Pants

This past Sunday Jose asked me, “I thought you were wearing a pink shirt.” And I told him, “There is pink on my shirt.” My coat was covering up my top so he could only catch a glimpse of my left sleeve. I pulled down the right sleeve and showed him the pink side. I am not too sure if he was teasing me or not (always hard to tell), but hey, we have different taste in fashion.  Continue reading “Color Block Top + Legging Pants”
