Happy, happy Friday! Hope you are having an amazing day so far! I am looking forward to catching up on personal stuff this weekend. I have to update the budget, file taxes, read a book for work, blog, etc., etc. Not the most exciting stuff in the world, but what can a girl do?!? I have to admit, if there’s one thing I miss pre-covid is, shooting outfit photos. The hubby has yet to get behind the lens…it has been way TOO long. (I am confident he is enjoying his time away from the camera though, LOL!) Anyway, here’s to another weekend ahead. I hope it’s a fun one for you! Let’s talk light fixtures…
There are SO many ways to brighten up a room, however, if I could pick one essential element to uplift the energy of a room, I would pick light fixtures. But not just any light fixture, of course. In fact, there are many factors to consider, and a huge factor is, selecting them based on the style (or theme) of the home.
For the dining room, we thought it was best to stick to bronze since the other fixtures were bronze.

Since the office was custom built, we had the flexibility to stray away from the bronze so we chose to pick a fixture to match the brass finishes. The result?!? A beautiful statement piece that is the center of attention – and I love it.

The number one tip I will leave you with is, exhaust yourself with research. Let me explain, if we hadn’t known the office light fixture was about 1/3 of the price at Home Depot compared to Pottery Barn, we would have purchased it at Pottery Barn. The light fixtures are identical. Don’t get me wrong, you also get what you pay for, and ours could have been a complete failure. (This will take a few months to determine that, lol.) But my point is, keep looking, keep researching for your best options. You will be very surprised by your research.
I found an easy-to-follow guide on how to choose the right ceiling light fixture size, I’ll go ahead and link it here for your reference. It came in very handy when it came to selecting and installing ours.
