It’s a good thing you cannot see how I am currently walking. The F45 workout from earlier this week kicked my ass and my lower back. My lower back was already achy from most likely sitting down too much, and for too long. Staying in the house most of my days is taking a toll on my body for sure. So on todays, Mrsprofresh.com, I am sharing these self-care essentials.
My Self-Care:
I needed to make a change…and fast. I ended up purchasing Dr. Teal’s Restore & Replenish epsom salt. And boy, oh boy, did it restore and replenish my body.
It never crossed my mind to ever purchase Dr. Teal’s epsom salt. For some reason, I had this vision it was for athletes, people who trained hard. (I have no idea how I picked up this idea either.) Anyway, I was desperate for a solution so I thought it wouldn’t hurt to try it.
After complaining all morning and afternoon to Jose, I finally got the massage I needed. After the massage, I filled up the bathtub, added a few cups of the epsom salt and a few rose petals from my dining table arrangement. I lit all of the white candles by the bathtub, put on a face mask for hydration, played the Great Gatsby album, and turned off the lights. Oh, and of course, I had a glass of LaMarca Prosecco champagne topped with fresh blueberries by my side.
It was a dream.
I soaked in the bathtub for probably an hour. Honestly, I didn’t have a timer so I am only guessing here. Before soaking in, I did my whole dry brushing ordeal first to really take advantage of the situation. (I shared more about this topic here.) After about twenty minutes, or five songs later, I began to stretch. I was able to reach for the toes!!! Huge win. That’s how bad the situation was, I couldn’t even reach for my toes without struggling like an old lady. (Maybe it’s my time? Who knows.) Anyway, I decided to take additional epsom salt and massage the sore spots. It was really helpful. I was finally able to relax.
After the bath, I was very surprised at how flexible I felt again. The stretching and massaging definitely helped. I couldn’t believe how tight my lower back was. It is definitely going to take a few days until I fully recover. I plan to do a lot of stretching and foam rolling.
Final thoughts:
I am sharing this information because if there’s one person out there who is currently having body pain, experiencing discomfort, or needs a moment to relax, I am encouraging you to try any of Dr. Teals epsom salts. There is plenty of options to choose from depending on your needs.
There’s no going back for me. I am going to do my best to make epsom salts a part of my regular routine.
