I had no idea what a champagne birthday meant until earlier this year. In case you have no clue what this means, it is turning the age of your birth date. For example, I just turned 29 on the 29th of May. This, of course, meant champagne (and a pretty party dress) was in order to help celebrate the last year in my 20s.
I began searching for my party dress a few weeks before my birthday. I knew we would be in NYC so I wanted something sparkly to match with the bright skyline. I know it sounds cheesy but the NYC nighttime skyline was my inspiration. I was not sure exactly what I wanted but when I saw this dress on one of my favorite bloggers, Christine Lozano, I knew I had to buy it. She was so helpful in answering all of my questions! Christine – thank you again for helping me shop for my birthday dress! (I’ll link her blog here.)

I ended up purchasing a small and the fit was perfect! I am 5’4″ so the length was ideal to my height. I did not feel it was too short or too long. The only thing I had to readjust was the straps. I styled it with my favorite pair of nude heels and wore minimal jewelry. I was mainly concerned about receiving the shipment on time. Thankfully, it only took four days to arrive! I love it so much I plan on wearing it again today, LOL! I told Jose I am going to be like the little girls who love to wear their princess dress to the grocery store or around the house with nowhere to go, LOL! Sorry, not sorry.
