I love breaking the rules (ok, well, sometimes). I am the type of girl who will most definitely wear white after Labor Day, including this white button down denim dress.
Did you know this rule was created way back when old money elitists wanted to be separated from the new money group? Since white is an appropriate color for hot weather, the color became to be known as a vacation staple. The old money group wanted society to know who could actually afford to leave their cold city behind for a warmer vacation.
Anyway, this is no longer the 1880s and snobby millionaires cannot tell us what to wear…soooooo who cares about that rule, right?!?
The thing I love most about this white button down denim dress is how expensive it looks. Yes, I know it’s denim but it’s not just any other denim dress. The slight puff 3/4 sleeves is a nice touch that makes it appear different from any other button down denim dress. Don’t ya think?
This type of material will last for years to come. The dress is still available in plenty of sizes and it’s only $37! You can style it with your favorite pink (or any other color) pair of heels, or sandals. Personally, I like how it looks with my barbie pink (or oatmeal suede) Sam Edelman heels. (And holy smokes!!! I found the barbie pink heels for only $42, which is very rare since they’re normally around $100!!! They fit true to size so stick to your size.)
That’s a wrap for today! If I missed any additional details, please never hesitate on asking me through an email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by messaging me through Instagram. 😉 (For reference, I am wearing an extra small in the dress.)
