Spreading Positivity

I figured it was time for a raw little life update…

But first, I hope you’re doing okay and staying healthy. I am praying for those who have lost loved ones, for those who have lost their jobs and for the kiddos who are experiencing abuse at home. I am praying for the world. My heart is seriously with all of you. I am trying my best to remain positive and being a light somehow through this darkness. I am trying to uplift those who I know are going through a difficult time.

The best way I know how to remain positive, and uplift those around me, is to continue being myself by laughing, sharing memes, recalling memories, talking about the future, and honestly, working on myself to become a better person. I know I am not perfect – although I wish I was. However, how boring would that be? I know I have a lot to improve on and that’s the mission I am on.

As long as I am healthy, fulfilled, happy, elevated, and at my best, I will continue to pour myself into others. I will do this by spreading positivity, happiness, and motivational things through a text, email, phone call, my blog, and social media platforms. If you are one of those who don’t like positive people, I am not your girl. If you are one to dwell in the past, that’s ok, but don’t drag others down with you. Attack others on the internet, I am definitely not your girl. If you find peace when others are hurting, not your girl either. The purpose of this message is to serve as a reminder to be kind – to ourselves and to each other. There is so much negativity in this world already, why continue adding more of it?

I listened to a podcast episode (#260, Misery Loves Company – An Argument For More Positivity) from The Skinny Confidential earlier this week, and I couldn’t agree more with Lauryn and Michael. They hit on pretty much everything I’ve been thinking about this entire time. If you’re looking for something uplifting, highly suggest to tune in. Hey, you probably aren’t looking for something uplifting, but you’re interested in learning about a different perspective – tune in.

Here is list of things my family and I have been doing to spread some positivity:
Wrapping things up:

Well, that’s a wrap for this evening. I hope this leaves you with ideas for spreading positivity. And hey, if you are in a dark place due to unfortunate circumstances, I am so sorry. I definitely think it’s normal and necessary to go through every emotion you are experiencing. It’s okay to cry, be angry, etc. Let it out. But then find a way towards light. Surround yourself with people who are positive (well, not right now but you know what I mean). Cut people off. Slow and positive changes eventually will lead you to a place of internal and external peace. At least that’s my hope for everyone.
