Stronger on my mind

Sometimes all a girl (or guy) needs is a new workout outfit to get their gym flow going! As previously mentioned on my last post, one of my 2018 goals is to increase my muscle strength. Back in December, I was in a car accident on my way to work. Apparently, the other driver lost control and t-boned my passenger side. Since we were on the highway, driving at speed limit, the impact was pretty strong. I have been going to therapy sessions ever since and learned that much more about my body. Thanks to yoga, my joints are in good shape, however, I am not as strong as I thought I was. The therapy team inspired me to become physically stronger.

Planning is key

Planning is key

I try to be the type of person who plans M-F wardrobe on Sunday’s when life tends to be a bit calmer. If I have an event scheduled after work, I try to plan my outfit that is suitable for both places. I recently bought a floral kimono jacket that I can wear to work, and if I decide to, slip it off for the event after work.

I styled the kimono with my favorite little black dress, and to accentuate the waistline, I added a black belt. Favorite things to note about the kimono is that it is lightweight, rich in color, and versatile. I would definitely wear it with jeans for a casual look.

‘Tis the Lace Season

‘Tis the Lace Season

I dig pretty much anything lace, velvet, faux fur, and plaid during this time of year! The one-piece romper that I am about to describe is perfect for the upcoming celebration.

The Victorian inspired top fits like a glove in the torso area. I appreciate the intricacy of the lace design, thoroughly thought out from top to bottom. The long sleeves are the cherry on top. The pointy trim of the bottom piece is admirable.
